Supper at Whistle Binkies

We took the kids out for supper tonight and it was actually enjoyable!  It helped that they had a place to run around and play.

Tang Soo Do

Charlie tried a Tang Soo Do lesson last night.  I have never seen him so interested, engaged and compliant for ONE WHOLE HOUR!  We are definitely pursuing this!

My friend, Amie, is the instructor.  She is so good with the kids!

Our summer membership started today!  Excited to use the outdoor pool when the rain stops!

Little boys are nuts!

Claire

It's bath time.  She obediently gets her clothes off and puts them in the basket, asks to go potty and then gets in the tub.  She plays quietly with her cups and asks to get out when she's done.  She gets her jammies on, brushes her teeth and happily plays learning games on the tablet.

Charlie

It's Charlie's turn in the bath.  His clothes are not off after being asked 10 times.  We use our crabby voice and he gets them off.  They're either strewn all over the living room after being reminded to put them in the basket or he takes them off in the bathroom and ends up kicking his underwear in the bathtub (see picture).  He makes all kinds of noises, splashes water EVERYWHERE, gets out of the tub a few times to get things he forgot, splashes the dog, takes all the toys out and yells to tell us when he wants out.  As he gets out we ask if he went downstairs (before his bath) to get his jammies and he tells us no, so he cries and tells us he's cold.  Eventually he gets his jammies on and brushes his teeth.  Then he wants to have a dance party so he cranks the radio on and starts running and dancing around the house.

Future Babe Ruth

Charlie and I went to pick out some baseball equipment today.  We came home with a bat and a tee and then went to try them out.  He did really well.  I was proud!

Staying Busy

We're still finding things to do despite Claire having croup and the weather being rainy today.

They're both having a lot of fun on their scooters.  Claire has totally got the hang of it!

Last day!

Charlie finished his first year of preschool today!  He's come a long way since September but he's continuing to work on his listening skills.  I'm so proud of him for working so hard this year.  He has given me a run for my money but I love this kid so much!
