We said goodbye to our Phoenix yesterday. She was the little kitty that the kids found on the side of Phoenix Road on the way to the bus stop. She was a sweet girl who became the queen of the house and spent many hours with Nick laying on a chair while he worked.
She was very loved and is already missed so much. Rest easy, Phoenix.

Thanks to a deer, Nick got a new (to us) truck. Goodbye GMC Sierra. Hello Honda Ridgeline.
He wanted steak, mashed potatoes and angel food cake. He got a new guitar. He's still working on his driving hours (mostly at night) to be able to get his license. Happy 16th, Charlie!
Charlie started his first job at McDonalds. I was telling him that he would probably be doing simple things like wiping tables or changing trash until he gets some training under his belt. WELL, his card isn't working to get paid, he barely knows how to access his schedule and they put him on the drive-thru window on the first day. They apparently just throw their new people to the wolves. Also, he hates the visor.
The girls went to the nail salon and everyone got a little something done except me. I'm fine with my at-home nail jobs. Way cheaper and no one touching them.
Phil shared a jar of refrigerator pickles that he made and we've been making them and eating them at a record pace ever since. Charlie has been helping make them. So good!
We did a lot of nothing- relaxed, watched shows, surfed on our phones and of course went out on the pontoon. The fishing wasn't great but the chill time was.
