We spent the morning at Como today.

According to Charlie this is either a fort or a cat trap.  I like how he got my cell phone to balance on the measuring tape.  Nice work!

Parade

We went to the St. Charles parade yesterday.  Charlie loved seeing the tractors of course.  I think he liked watching the parade more than he liked getting the candy.  Last night I was reading one of his farm books to him at bedtime and here's what he said...(he cracks me up sometimes)

 

"I be a horse when I grow up.  No, wait.......I gun be farmer and drive a tractor like those guys."



State Fair

We went to the State Fair today.  Lots of fun things to see and do, plenty of good (but bad for you) food to try and a few toddler fits of course!  Charlie had the most fun scavenging for food from strangers.  He scored some cookies and french fries from some nice people who were willing to share. Apparently we should be educating our kid on "stranger danger".

Seriously, how is she this big already?!?!  I also sold one of our infant seats on craigslist.  This mom is emotional!  I kind of wanted to chase the car and ask for it back when the lady drove off.  Too bad Nick put the kabosh on more babies!  If only we could win the lottery...

5 Months!

She might not like to sleep, but...

...she LOVES to eat!  This girl doesn't miss a meal!  

This is her first rice cereal from a spoon.  She was all about it- fussed in between each bite because apparently I wasn't being fast enough.  Our demanding baby is going to do big things someday!!!!
