Preschool Field Trip

I took the afternoon off to go to the fire station with Charlie's preschool class.  I asked him what his favorite part was on the way home and he said, "the axe".  Of course!

Milestones for Charlie

Charlie decided that he wanted to learn to ride his bike without training wheels today so Nick took them off.  He picked it up right away!

Easter

It was nice to spend time with so many people in our family.  The kids had a lot of fun!

Claire's Day

Claire got some one-on-one time with Dad and Mom today.  She's a big Peppa Pig fan, so when we found out Peppa was going to be at the Mall of America we decided to take her.  She met Peppa, went on a ride, played at the "baby store" and had a little lunch at the American Girl Bistro.  It was fun to spend time with just the Claire Bear!

Beading

I recently started making simple earrings.  I'm definitely in the early learning stages but it's something fun to do.  As you can see, someone else likes beading also.  He chose baseballs and gold for his bling.

"Leprechaun Day"

I got to celebrate "Leprechaun Day" (as most kindergarteners refer to it) all day.  My class made leprechaun masks and went around school to make messes and cause mischief.  We played LUCKY (BINGO), ate Lucky Charms with green milk, read some St. Patrick's stories and cleaned up a lot of messes because the real leprechauns visited our classroom twice.  Our trap didn't catch any leprechauns again this year but they did leave each of the kids a gold covered piece of chocolate.

At home it was Shepherds Pie and all green food for supper and then the kids did a little craft project.

Birthday Girl!

Daycare was closed today so I decided to take the day off since it's Claire's actual birthday.

She got her first pedicure, went to the bookstore, ate out for lunch and played at the park.

Green Eggs and Ham

We made a special supper to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday.  Green eggs and ham was a hit!

They ate supper without fighting or getting out of their seats before they were finished. SUCCESS!
