Quarry Hill Camp

Charlie went to Quarry Hill camp with friends from his DHH preschool class.  He learned about different "animal neighborhoods".  When I asked him what his favorite part was, he said, "Everything!"

Fun July Saturday

We went to the Farmers Market (bought some yummy corn, radishes, carrots, kohlrabi and the kids got balloon animals), Carley State Park and Lark Toys.

 

Children's Museum

We went to the Children's Museum this morning.  Lots to do as usual!  Charlie even ran into a friend from his preschool class.

Fair

Rides, animals, some food and even a kids tractor pull.  It was a good afternoon at the fair!

Last Night of Tee-ball

Charlie is done with his first season of tee-ball.  He's learning to be patient and come to the realization that he won't always field every ball or make it around all the bases every time.  Tough lessons for him to learn!

Last night, the coaches were pitching instead of using the tee.  This is Charlie's first hit.

Dancing Girl

Claire loves going to dance so she's going to continue classes at Janet Lang.  She will have a recital in May.

I took her to get some real ballet shoes since she likes it so much.  Love my little dancer!

Wiggly Tooth!

Down by the Riverside

We went to see Jon Pardi last night.  A girl about Charlie's age was sitting in front of us so I told him to go play with her.

She was making a nest with sticks and feathers so Charlie gave her some sticks.  Then he came over to me and whispered, "Mom, it's hard to say hello.  I just can't.  Can you go over and ask her to be my friend?"  I told him to just go over and ask her to play.  Eventually he did and they played the whole time.  He even invited her and her family over to our house.  He told them our address and "gave directions".

I think it's funny because he has NO problem making friends with boys.  Harder to talk to the ladies!

Cabin Post #2

We're home from the cabin in Wisconsin.  It was a great vacation but it's always good to be home!

 

Amnicon Falls State Park

We went to Amnicon Falls State Park today and hiked along the Amnicon River.  Lots of pretty spots to explore along the way!
