I took Claire to preschool screening today. She was excited to go to "school". I know she will love real school when she gets to go!

Kids will be kids!
We are going to be super sad when they start developing the neighborhood around us. The kids love playing in the open areas around our houses. Their favorite places are the two dirt piles. They build things, make forts, ride bikes, and basically get filthy every afternoon when they get home for the day. Today they dug up worms and made a "worm pond".
I'm so happy that they love playing outside instead of wanting to be inside in front of a screen.

Renaissance Festival
We went to the Renaissance Festival with Uncle Travis and some friends today. It was the first time for Nick, Charlie and Claire. It was so fun!
Charlie did AWESOME at the tomato toss!

MDA Walk
Charlie and I went to the MDA walk this morning. He had fun playing tag and (of course) climbing trees with the other kids there.
He loves it!
Charlie says kindergarten is "great" and "so fun". I'm glad he likes it so much and is having a smooth transition. His teachers say he is working hard, playing nicely and making them laugh. Good work, Charlie!

We have a Kindergartener!
I now understand how parents feel sending their little kindergartener to me every year. Tough stuff!
His teacher gave him a bedtime story with some magic sleeping confetti for the night before school started
Nick made pancakes for breakfast
Such a big kid!
Leaving on the bus- he was most excited about getting to ride the bus!
Catching a picture with my guy on a busy morning!

Labor Day Weekend
The kids basically spent the whole weekend making a fort and playing in it. They cleared trees and brush, made a campfire, put up a deer stand and made a gate. It really is the simple things that make them the happiest!
The fort

A girl in her boots...they're 3 sizes too big, she stumbled and fell more times than we could count but she wouldn't take them off!
