We got a bunch of snow and strong winds were behind that. This resulted in a blizzard warning and another day off from school (#9.5). This is on top of the huge amount of snow we've already gotten and it just keeps coming, More snow on the way tomorrow and again on Friday. Breaking all kinds of records!

Science Night
Bamber Valley had a Science night for 2nd and 3rd graders. Charlie made a marker-bot and rocket ship, ordered the solar system, learned about telescopes from the Rochester Astronomers Club and spent time in the Star Lab from Eagle Bluff.
Claire's Class
I stopped by to be a Mystery Reader for Claire's class and they celebrated the 100th day of school a couple days later.

MOA
We stopped at the Mall of America after Nick and the kids picked me up at the airport. We went there to stop by the American Girl store one last time before it closes and then we caved and let the kids go to Build-a-Bear.
Now we have to eat Ramen Noodles for the rest of the month.
Waking up the heart, making a wish and putting it in before it's closed up
Marquette Trip
I went to visit Carly and Samone over the long weekend. It was lots of fun like always! We went snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hung out in the hot tub and sauna and (my favorite part) watched the sled dog teams leave Marquette for their races. It didn't stop snowing other than maybe 15 minutes one day. To say they have lots of snow is an understatement.

Valentine's Day
Here's our girl with the roses that she gets from her Daddy every year. She got 5 this year.
She wanted to take a picture of me with mine, too. Lucky us! We love our guy!

Snow and More Snow
We've gotten lots of snow lately but it's been too cold and windy to play until today.
The kids had fun digging tunnels in a big drift from the last storm we had.

I Love to Read Month
Bamber Valley students were invited to read The One and Only Ivan (a children's book based on a real gorilla who lived in a shopping mall for most of his life) for I Love to Read month. Doesn't it sound like a great idea?
Well, it goes something like this...
STEP 1- We tell the kids to get their jammies on and go to the bathroom around 5-7 times
STEP 2- They are messing around or fighting about who gets to go in the bathroom first so we raise our voice and threaten no story
STEP 3- They can't find a blanket or a snuggle toy so they look around for it
STEP 4- We tell them to get in Claire's bed right now so we can start reading and they start laughing like crazies and can't stop
STEP 5- Nick or I read while we give them death stares for laughing, messing around and being in each others space
ALL smiles for the camera, though! WORTH IT
