Memorial Weekend

Kindergarten Celebration

We went to Claire's classroom for a little celebration. The kids shared some of their work, sang a few songs and got awards. We also watched a special show with all the pictures from the year.

It's one of those moments that I don't want to forget- Charlie snuggled under his "ginx" (his name for blanket) that he still has from when he was a newborn baby and watching a survival show on the Discovery channel. This is my Charlie in a nutshell.

Busy, busy!

She got a medal at her last dance class of the year.

She pet a baby anaconda during the RAD Zoo at school.

She got handcuffed and checked out the backseat of a police car. Just as I said with Charlie, let's hope this is the ONLY time.

She also went to Target and picked out a soccer ball. She'll be trying a soccer camp this summer to see if she likes it enough to play in the fall.

Mother's Day

We went to Carley State Park for some hiking and a picnic to start the day. The bluebells were out and Charlie tried some ramps. He said they were good and wolfed down a few #weirdo

I also got to go to Barnes and Noble BY MYSELF and we had some Chinese take-out for supper. It was a great day!

Eye Exam

I took Charlie to get an eye exam because he's been getting headaches lately. The doctor said he's slightly far-sighted (which is fairly normal for his age but could be the cause of the headaches) and gave us a prescription for some glasses. We will wait and see if he has less headaches over the summer and go from there.
