Teacher Swap Day

Bamber Valley had a teacher swap day this week so I switched classrooms with Ms. C., who is Claire's teacher.  Teams competed to build the longest paper chain and then we decorated a Clairemas tree.  Fun times!

Also worth noting- the boy in the Gophers jersey is her crush and has been since kindergarten so OBVIOUSLY I put them in the same group.  I had to see how they interacted under pressure.

Claire loves reading to Phoenix when she thinks we aren't listening or paying attention.  It's so cute!

Skating

The kids begged and begged to go to the outdoor rink when they saw it was ready.  It was a cold -2 degrees but they skated for about an hour and a half.  Minnesota kids for sure!

Phoenix

Charlie and Claire found this little kitty on the morning of October 14th while they were waiting for the bus.  Nick took her to Paws and Claws where she was adopted by a kind nursing mama cat (Mallory) and treated for her infected eye.  The kids were both heartbroken when they got home and she was gone. 

We all couldn't stop thinking about the kitty who was cold, hungry and left alone that morning so we adopted her on Friday (December 6th).
