Memorial Weekend

Annual family photo

Elmer Fudd got his first rabbit!  I realized I can't be around this kind of stuff so I got a quick picture and got out of there.

We got to see some animals at the family farm by the camper.  Calves, bunnies, pigs and a big mean dog that bit Bella.  I had to see a dying pig there.  I can't handle these things!

It wouldn't be a weekend at the camper without trees being cut down.

Trout fishing- one flipped out of the water and wiggled off the hook

Sassypants

Lots of work was done on the kid's fort!

Nighttime bocce ball

Playing with Gabby- finally a GIRL to play with at the land!

Ending the weekend with a little Creamery ice cream for lunch

Softball

We went to Nick's softball game on Wednesday. The team is 2-0!  I watched because they played good and the kids ran around, played at the park, scootered and spent money on candy at the concessions stand.  Best fans around!

Lately...

We've been doing a mix of things lately- checking out the bluebells, baseball, soccer, landscaping, planting flowers and of course playing with neighbor friends.

Charlie decided to do safety patrol next year.  Here he is training in!

I gave the kids each $5 to go to garage sales on their bikes. Claire came home with these lights.  Charlie used all his money on a box full of junk so he could get a little container of pellets for his gun.

Playing Ball!

Charlie got the gold glove of the game on Thursday for his good plays in the field and lifting his teammates up.  He was so happy and proud!

The team had a tournament in Lakeville over the weekend.  They won 1/4 games but had a lot of fun!

A picture with mom on Mother's Day- he told me he'd get a hit and he got a double!

Showing good sportsmanship without being told to do so (someone was hurt and they all took a knee until the coaches made sure he was ok)

Charlie is still loving pitching!

Living it up as baseball sisters!

Camper Weekend

We spent the first overnight at the camper for the season.

Camper ant invasion, deer bone collecting ("Mom, I know where they put the dead deer."), rabbit hunting, four-wheeler riding, supper on a Charlie created campfire grill, sparklers, glow bracelets, s'mores and pumpkin planting.  Even the stomach bug for me.  A little of everything this weekend!

Games, Games, Games

The kids are both busy with their spring sports.  They're having fun, getting some exercise and staying off their dang electronics. WIN WIN WIN

Scrimmaging the 9U AAA team

Claire got her first goal of the season and her teacher was there to see it!
