Ice Skating on the Oval

The weather was perfect for some Winterfest skating at Soldiers Field.  We skated, made s'mores and had hot chocolate in the igloo.

We went skating after school today.  I thought Claire would be done after about 5 minutes but she loved it and did way better than I thought she would!

Hockey

Charlie and some friends braved the cold to play a little hockey with his new skates.

December Weekend

Claire had her Christmas program at preschool on Friday.  She practiced singing her songs all the time at home and seemed so excited.  When she got on the bleachers and saw all those people watching her it was all over.  She told me she was too scared to sing so she cried instead.

We went to the theater to see the movie, The Star, and did some more holiday baking the rest of the weekend.

Holiday Baking

We did some baking over the weekend and then decorated a gingerbread house today.

Perfect Saturday

We went to the Kids Workshop at Home Depot to make gingerbread houses, Claire went to dance, we went hiking at Whitewater and Quarry Hill with Auntie Carly and then had supper at Whistle Binkies.  It was such a nice day to be out and about!
