Surprise!

We woke the kids up at 1:30 in the morning to surprise them with a trip to Disney.  They had no idea, even after talking about it, watching videos about it and even reading a book all about it.

On the way!  We took 2 planes to get there- first to Chicago and then Orlando.

Made it!

The Disney Magical Express bus wasn't so magical for Claire.  Somehow a big wad of gum got stuck in her hair.  When we asked for a scissors to cut it out at hotel check-in the lady said, "Well, this is a first!"

Nine!

Charlie turned nine!  He celebrated with a friend party on the weekend.  The kids played his new laser tag game, had pizza and cake/ice cream and then had a Nerf gun war the rest of the time.

The really impressive part was Claire was only hit once in the face and only cried once.

Supermite Draft

Charlie will be a Penguin for the 19-20 hockey season!

Charlie loves the Captain Underpants and Dogman books so we went with some friends to hear the author speak and get some pictures.

Kick Cancer

Claire wore yellow laces in her cleats to support the fight against childhood cancer during her game on Saturday.  She is still loving soccer and was extra excited for her game because she had two extra fans (Papa and Grandma).

New Lot

The building process begins again!  It's not worth staying in the house we love and dealing with the worst neighbors on the planet so we'll be building almost the same house about 5 minutes down the street.  It will be a lot of work and hassle but worth it in the end.

Soccer Game

Claire had her first soccer game this morning.  The coach chose her pink ball to use in the game AND she got her very first goal!
