Claire loves reading to Phoenix when she thinks we aren't listening or paying attention.  It's so cute!

Skating

The kids begged and begged to go to the outdoor rink when they saw it was ready.  It was a cold -2 degrees but they skated for about an hour and a half.  Minnesota kids for sure!

Phoenix

Charlie and Claire found this little kitty on the morning of October 14th while they were waiting for the bus.  Nick took her to Paws and Claws where she was adopted by a kind nursing mama cat (Mallory) and treated for her infected eye.  The kids were both heartbroken when they got home and she was gone. 

We all couldn't stop thinking about the kitty who was cold, hungry and left alone that morning so we adopted her on Friday (December 6th).

'Tis the Season!

We usually wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas but I was antsy since Thanksgiving is late this year so we decorated today.  Love this time of year!

Frozen Day

We ate Frozen waffles, played Frozen games, dressed up, watched Frozen and then Frozen 2 at the theater and had Frozen ice cream to end the night.  It was Claire's dream day!

The Big 4-0

I spent most of my actual birthday at school teaching and then doing conferences but we went out to eat and then went to the Vikings game on Sunday.  It was awesome that Charlie and Claire got to see such a great first game!

Hockey Game

Charlie played his first game of the new season and had his best game so far!  He scored a bunch of goals, made some good passes and showed off how he can do crossovers.  Proud of our #2!
