Baseball
Charlie is back to playing ball! Things have been a little disorganized to say the least and the team started without a coach so Nick, me and some other parents are filling in to give the boys a good season.

The Compassion Experience
Summer break began with a little reality check. The kids got to hear what it's like to live in extreme poverty. They went through six different rooms that mimicked the life of a girl living in poverty in the Philippines while listening to her voice telling us about how she grew up.
Claire could tell me that she didn't have apples to eat or toys to play with. Charlie told me that he could survive since he knows everything about surviving thanks to all his shows he watches.

Kindergarten Celebration
We went to Claire's classroom for a little celebration. The kids shared some of their work, sang a few songs and got awards. We also watched a special show with all the pictures from the year.

Small Moment
It's one of those moments that I don't want to forget- Charlie snuggled under his "ginx" (his name for blanket) that he still has from when he was a newborn baby and watching a survival show on the Discovery channel. This is my Charlie in a nutshell.
